The VAX D Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression Table is an extremely safe procedure without side effects or complications once any abnormal conditions (i.e. contra-indications) have been ruled out. Patients that have disorders that weaken the spinal column, such as severe osteoporosis, spondylolisthesis grade II or greater, fractures, tumors, or congenital pars defects are not candidates for the VAX D.
Those with previous spinal surgery can still be considered candidates unless surgical hardware (screws, rods, etc.) has been implanted onto the spine. The minimum age for VAX D procedures is 16 years. The maximum is based on your health and physical condition and will be assessed by our doctor.
